Neodymium-doped yttrium fluoride (Nd) crystal is a solid-state laser material that, due to its excellent optical and thermal properties is widely used in high-performance lasers, especially in medical and industrial applications.

The neodymium-doped lithium yttrium fluoride (YLiF₄) crystal is composed of lithium yttrium fluorideYLiF4) as the host material, and it enables laser emission by doping with neodymium ions (Nd³⁺ ). The main laser wavelengths are1047 nm and 1053 nm, making it suitable for pump lasers such as diode lasers, capable of producing high-energy pulsed. The crystal structure of the Nd crystal is tetragonal, with a high thermal conductivity (approximately 0.13 W/(m·K)), which can effectively manage the heat generated by the laser. Additionally, the crystal has good chemical stability and is not easily affected by environmental conditions, making it suitable for various industrial scientific applications.

Advantage:

1. High efficiency: Good laser conversion efficiency makes it perform excellently in high-power applications.

2. Excellent beam quality: The generated laser has high focusing ability, suitable for precision processing.

3. Good thermal management: High thermal conductivity helps maintain crystal stability and prolongs service life.

4. Multiavelength output: Supports the emission of multiple wavelengths of lasers, adapting to different needs.

5. Strong chemical stability: Good corrosion resistance, suitable for various working environments

Application field:

1. Laser marking and engraving: Widely used in the material processing industry to achieve high-precision marking.

2. Medical laser: in medical applications such as ophthalmology and dermatological treatments.

3. Scientific research: Serves as a high-energy laser source for basic science experiments.

4 LiDAR: Used for high-precision ranging and imaging, suitable for autonomous driving and geographical surveying.

5. Optical communication: Serves as a laser source to improve the efficiency of fiber optic communication systems.
