Achromatic Doublet Lenses are composed of two glass elements with different optical properties that are cemented together. Typically, they consist of a positive, low-refractive-index crown glass convex lens and a negative, high-refractive-index flint glass concave lens. This design leverages the different dispersion characteristics of the two glass materials and, through precise matching and combination, enables the lens system to eliminate chromatic aberration at two critical wavelengths (such as blue and red light), achieving a nearly constant focal length across the entire visible spectrum.
